Sales and Marketing firm Emora have this week been focusing on the importance of starting your week with passion and purpose. Lauren Harrison, the MD of Emora, wants her young professionals to realize that the sales and marketing industry is incredibly intense: the days are long and require 100% concentration to ensure success. However, she is certain (from her own experience) that by hitting the ground running on the Monday young professionals can set the tone for the rest of their week.
With this in mind, the Emora management is delivering a workshop to their workforce on the key tips they can use to hit the ground running. In hopes to improve their success in the field. Lauren Harrison has recently commented on her excitement for the workshop, stating:
“The moment I started attacking my Monday morning with passion and purpose, I started to see drastic improvements in my performance. Sales and marketing are all about mind-set, and this is often formed in the first moments of our week.”
Emora have recently released the three tips they will be giving their workforce over the following week to help them prepare for the first week of October.
Plan your week on Sunday
Emora implores their contractors to start their working week in the evening on a Sunday. Lauren suggests that her employees set out their weekly goals and social engagements so when they arrive on Monday, they are ready to start the week without any unnecessary distractions.
Make an appreciation list
In addition to creating a weekly goals lists, Emora also advises their contractors to write down at least five things they are grateful for in the morning on Monday. By prompting positive emotions sales representatives are more likely to start the week happy and ready to work.
Indulge in inspiration
Emora’s final tip is for their contractors to utilize inspiration to maximise their success. The firm advises using TED Talks to find inspiration individuals to listen to. The firm is particularly interested in Gary Vaynerchuk as he acts as a great example of a successful entrepreneur who provides simple but practical tips for young salespeople to bring into their lives.
Moving forward, Emora are confident that these three simple tips will provide her workforce with the main ways through which they can attack their Monday morning with the purpose to maximise their performance throughout the week.
